It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And Proud Embankment has a Christmas special that’s bigger, better and sexier than ever.

A Christmas Cabaret features world-class performances from our award-winning acrobats, show-stopping fire breathers and burlesque beauties from around the globe.

If you've been following my reviews for a while, you'll know that Proud Embankment is becoming almost a second home for me! It has fast become my favourite venue in London and it has a special place in my heart. The cabaret acts are always mind-blowing and the service is always second to none - and this visit was no exception.

If there's one thing Proud knows how to do, it's decorating a venue to fit a theme...and they really did deck the halls! From the second you enter, you're instantly transported to a Winter Wonderland and the staff are dressed to match. You're even met with a Christmas cracker each at your table; and it's small touches like that, that Proud do best.

As always, you could pre-order food with your booking and as a gluten free guest, it's always a nerve-wracking time. But from pumpkin risotto, to cinnamon treacle cake with sorbet, the food was absolutely delicious and no dietary needs ever seem to be an issue for the chef, which is something I really appreciate.

Our entertainer before the show and throughout the breaks was the wonderful Jamie Heward. He really knew how to get a crowd involved and he had a huge repertoire of genres throughout the evening. There were Christmas classics such as It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, musical theatre smash hits such as Don't Rain On My Parade and dance classics such as the YMCA.

Our host for the evening was the utterly gorgeous Sofia Pavlichenko and her voice (and choice of Christmas outfits) were to die for. She opened the night with a medley of Christmas hits, which I particularly loved...as did the rest of the audience! I have to say that the audience were one of my favourite parts of the show. The atmosphere was electric and there was so much happiness radiating from the room for the entire evening.

The cabaret acts were, as always, world class. If you want to see a sexy stripping Santa this year, A Christmas Cabaret is the place to be; I wouldn't mind finding Mister Smith under my Christmas tree! The aerial and acrobatics displayed by the Seifert Sisters were just sensational. The Ghanaian segment near the end of the show was magnetising. A particular mention must also go to the Mean Girls sexy Santa "Jingle Bell Rock" segment; it was utter perfection.

However, when it comes to oozing sex appeal, there are three acts that always make the top of my list: Jessicats, Lady Lydia and Jake DuPree. For me, these three are the very best in the business at what they do and they continually wow me with their astounding amounts of talent. "Pour Some Sugar On Me" from Jessicats and "Earned It" from Lady Lydia and Shade Flamewater were the standout performances of the evening for me.

Whenever I think this venue and it's performers can't get any better, they somehow prove me wrong. Whether you're having a Christmas party, celebrating an occassion, or simply treating yourself to a well deserved night out, A Christmas Cabaret is the place to be. It's raunchy, deliciously naughty and you'll certainly leave feeling as though it's the most wonderful time of the year
